LARRY
Personal Project.
This character was made for one of my third year college films called 16000 ft and was about Larry Walters nicknamed Lawnchair Larry who tied weather balloons to his arm chair and rose to a height of 16000 ft. I was originally going to make the film in 3d but ended up doing it as a 2d hand-drawn film using TV paint but I did have a go at making a sculpt of Larry in Sculptris before I did. Recently I went back, tidied up the sculpt, retopologized and textured it. Below you can see some WIP renders of the model going from the retop to texturing and adding hair. I was having trouble getting the result I wanted with Hair and Fur so I decided to use Hair harm which is pretty great at giving you the ability to model the shapes of hair you want pretty quickly.
